What To Expect
Welcome to Anchorage Bible Fellowship!
We’re Glad You’re Here
Attending a new church can be intimidating and we get that! Below we hope you will find some answers to common questions to help alleviate some of those concerns! Once you feel comfortable in knowing what’s going on, we would love to meet you!
- What is it like?
- We truly are a come as you are church! On Sundays, we have a time of prayer (which is open to all) starting at 9:45 am. Regular service starts at 10:30 am beginning with the worship team leading the church in music. Song lyrics are projected onto the screen so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. You will hear the latest in theologically sound worship music as well as the traditional favorites from years past. After the music portion of service is complete, we have a time of remembrance for all that our Lord has done and will continue to do for us, until His return. Then the preaching of the sermon will take us through Scripture and unpack the truths of God’s word, along with the application for your daily life. The sermon will always point us to the Gospel and the hope-filled message about Jesus Christ. Following the sermon there will be a light lunch (served by our wonderful kitchen volunteers), which is a great time of fellowship with one another.
- What about my kids?
- We have Sunday school for all ages, after worship and during the sermon. We also have nursery, for the younger children.
- Where do I park?
- We have a large parking lot where you can park anywhere you want! For anyone having difficulty with mobility, we do have handicap parking available and drop off right at the door, where a greeter will be happy to assist.
- What do I wear?
- Wear what you want and what you are most comfortable wearing! Our congregation ranges from wearing the traditional coat and tie/dresses to jeans/shorts and casual T’s.
